Read the Schedule: Colors, Icons, and Statuses Explained
Everything on the Schedule communicates status at a glance. Here's what the colors, symbols, and statuses mean.
ColorsAppointment color comes from the service type's preset color (Settings > Service Types > Appointment Presets), or a custom color set on the appointment/project. Same service type = same color across the board.Icons and Symbols
- Green indicates a completed service with a completed service status.
- Triangle / warning symbol — Needs to Return Service Status
- Red circle — Followup with customer Service Status
- Red "i" — Missing Address Coordinates for Customer
- Circular Arrow— Recurring Appointment part of a series
An appointment carries three separate statuses, and they answer different questions. All three are filterable from the Appointment list's toolbar.
Appointment Status — "is this visit staffed and done?"
- Unassigned — no technician yet; the visit sits in the Unassigned queue until someone is assigned.
- Assigned — a technician owns it and it appears on their route/day.
- Complete — the visit happened and the job was finished.
Service Status — "what happened at the property?"
This column stays empty until the technician starts the job. When they tap Start, POM creates the service ticket, and the status follows the work from in-progress through the completed service report. (See Appointments vs Services for how the two records relate.)
Billing Status — "has this been invoiced, and where?"
- Not Billed — completed, billable, not yet invoiced. Your Billing page works from these.
- Ready — reviewed and ready to invoice. (A service showing Not Ready on the Billing page hasn't been completed or marked billable yet.)
- Pending — invoice in progress/awaiting sync.
- Billed — invoiced and done.
- QBO / QBD — invoiced through QuickBooks Online / QuickBooks Desktop.
- Stripe — invoiced/paid through Stripe.
- Pre-Paid — covered by a flat-rate package or subscription; nothing to invoice. (See Flat-Rate Packages & Subscription Billing.)
- Unbillable — marked as not billable (warranty work, courtesy visits).
Your company can also add custom billing statuses, so you may see labels here that are specific to your account.
